Return to North Wales as DI Cadi John and DS Owen Vaughan investigate a brutal and bloody crime drawing them into the lives of a disparate group of characters, into a world of lies and neglect, revenge and recrimination. Cadi and Vaughan contend with life-changing events — for Cadi, the death of her father, for Vaughan, the birth of his daughter. 2 DVDs.
When an anonymous caller alerts the police to a body found on a rundown estate, Cadi and Owen begin investigating the death of former teacher Geraint Ellis.
Without any another leads, Cadi searches for Karl Lewis, who made an abuse complaint against Geraint years ago. Connor worries about retaliation for placing the call.
The community gathers together for a memorial service for Geraint, and Cadi and Owen attend in hopes of new leads. Connor's overwhelming guilt reaches a breaking point.
Cadiand Owen question Karl again after a witness places him near Geraint's house on the day of the murder. Karl claims he is innocent but appears to be hiding something.
As Cadi delves deeper into Mia's relationship with a boy who killed himself years ago, Mia and Connor reel from what happened at the gas station.
With Lee in custody, evidence builds against Mia, but she evades police efforts to find her. Cadi rushes to the hospital when she hears that Connor is in intensive care.
